Our Board

The Trust Deeds of the Foundation provide for a maximum of five Directors to oversee the Foundation. More recently, an incorporated body, the Werribee District Hospital Foundation Ltd, was appointed as Trustee and a majority of the inaugural Trustees now constitute the new Board.

The majority of Directors must reside in the City of Wyndham and all must be persons of high standing by virtue of their past or present profession or occupation, or their reputation. Any vacancy on the Board is filled following public advertisement and the position of Chair is rotated every two years. As of September 2016, the Directors of the Foundation are:

Mr Nik Tsardakis
Chairman

Inaugural Director of the Werribee Hospital Foundation, Nik Tsardakis also has Fifteen years experience as Director (Past Chairman) in residential aged care and a thirty-seven year working career in Banking, Capital Markets and Financial Services. Nik is passionate about the availability and quality of local public health care in Wyndham.

Daniel McDonald
Treasurer

Daniel McDonald is a director and board member of the Werribee Hospital foundation. A member of the region for many years, Daniel enjoys giving back to the community in this capacity and in addition to the foundation has assisted the AMES Organisation with English language programs for refugees. Daniel serves on other boards in a commercial capacity and works as a Chief Executive Officer for one of Australia’s oldest law firms.

Janice Goates
Secretary

Long-time resident of Werribee, Inaugural Director (1993) of the Werribee Hospital Foundation and a past Chair. Retired Regional Manager & Business Development Executive with Credit Union Australia (30 year career) & Executive Director of Committee for Wyndham (15 years). Honorary roles include – Werribee Chamber of Commerce, Wyndham Cultural Foundation, Wyndham City Council including as inaugural chair of the Quality Community Plan Task group & Wyndham Citizen of the Year (2002). Life member of women’s cultural organisation Beta Sigma Phi.

Dr Jason Goh
Director

Jason has been a resident of Point Cook since 2011, and is the Director of Medical Services at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators.

DrCallumScott
Dr Callum Scott
Director

Callum chairs the Investment Committee of WDHCF. Prior to starting his finance broking business he lectured in Finance at the University of Melbourne. Originally from Scotland, he has lived in Wyndham since 1989 when based at Laverton and Point Cook as an officer in the RAAF. He is also currently chairman of Manor Court Werribee Aged Care Ltd and treasurer of the Rotary Club of Hoppers Crossing.

Director

Senior health manager, clinician and academic, Caroline has worked within the health industry for over ten years and has a keen interest in ensuring residents of the local community have access to the best possible service and that those services grow and develop as the population does.
