Nik Tsardakis, recipient of the John Nicol Community Service Award

Congratulations to Nik Tsardakis for being presented with the 2019 John Nicol Community Service Award at the Committee for Wyndham’s Annual Gala Dinner on Wednesday 4 December. Brett Nicol, son of John Nicol presented Nik with the award. The Gala Dinner also included guest speaker, Sally Capp, Lord Mayor of Melbourne and attended by approximately 120 guests.

Nik Tsardakis is a most deserving award recipient of this community service award that was established four years ago by the Committee for Wyndham.

Nik is one of the founding members of the Werribee Hospital Foundation where he has served on the board continuously since 1993 and served as Chair for 10 of those years.

Nik Tsardakis is a member of the Rotary Club of Hoppers Crossing, spanning forty years of service. He was named a Paul Harris Fellow for his outstanding contributions to the Club in 2004.

Nik is a founding member of the Rate Payers of Werribee South Association and been involved in the Green Wedge Steering Committee to support this important agricultural precinct of Wyndham.

Nik was both a member and Executive Director with the Committee for Wyndham between 2008 – 2012. He has also sat on many Wyndham Council committees and consultative forums advocating for improvements to the area.

Since 2000 Nik has served on the board of Manor Court Werribee Aged Care Ltd. and been Chairperson for 3 of those years.

Nik work’s and passion for the Wyndham community are extensive and impressive. Through his myriad roles, he has made a difference to so many people. His contributions and selfless attitude continue to inspire those around him.
